Swedish -
Refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones.  The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.  Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes and it increases circulation. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses.

Deep Tissue - Works directly with the muscular and fascial layers to help reduce chronic stress, manage pain, and help restore structural balance. Slow, deep pressure and/or stretching are applied to areas of chronic stress and tightness to help release trigger points and restore proper function. With a good dialogue between client and therapist, deep tissue therapy should not be uncomfortable to receive. Knowing your limits and slow deep breathing are essential in assisting release.

Trigger Point Therapy - A bodywork technique that involves the applying of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. Active trigger points cause muscular pain and will refer pain and tenderness to another area of the body when pressure is applied. Latent trigger points only exhibit pain when compressed, they do not refer pain to other areas of the body. Latent trigger points are believed to be one of the causes of stiff joints and restricted range of motion of old age.

Traditional Thai Yoga massage-  Originated in Buddhist Monasteries as preventive health care for the Monks. A variety of techniques are used to balance energy and mobilize the joints, renew the physical and spiritual body resulting in deep relaxation and renewal of body, mind and spirit. This is achieved by incorporating, reflexology, acupressure, compression therapy,  therapeutic stretching, joint mobilization, assisted yoga posses and meditation.
To allow for ease of movement, both the practitioner and client wear loose, comfortable clothes. Thai Yoga Massage is done on a mat, on the the floor. Thai sessions are 2 hours.

Myofascial Release-
This therapy is safe, gentle, and consistently effective in producing results that last. Myofascial restrictions put pressure on pain sensitive structures creating symptoms that may not be seen on conventional x-rays or MRI's.  MFR can help with back, neck, and jaw pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, as well as women's health issues.

Ashiatsu-
Utilizing parallel bars for balance and leverage, the therapist uses her body weight to apply pressure directed through her bare feet. Smooth, flowing, and gliding techniques on lubricated skin provide an intensely deep and amazingly therapeutic massage experience. Clients receive anything from moderate pressure to very deep work without the pain and discomfort that often accompanies the use of a therapist's thumbs or elbows.

Reflexology-
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing complimentary therapy which uses the feet to treat the whole body. The treatment involves massage and specialized thumb and finger techniques to stimulate specific reflex points on both feet.  The feet represent a map of the body, the right foot corresponding to the right side of the body and the left foot corresponding to the left side of the body. Reflexology has the capability of bringing about a state of deep relaxation.

Aromatherapy Hot Stone Massage-
This deeply relaxing massage technique involves the use of smooth black basalt volcanic stones, which are preheated in water, to a safe but effective temperature prior to your session. Stones of varying sizes are used as an extension of the therapist's hands.  Wrapped stones will also be placed on the body to facilitate deep heat penetration, to relax the muscles and 'draw out' tightness and discomfort.  The highest quality therapeutic grade Young Living™ essential oils are used to create an unparalleled sensory experience!
This treatment is booked for a minimum of 90 minutes and is available for and recommended to be 2 hours.

Prenatal-
As your body changes with each new stage of pregnancy, stress and tension can build as your body compensates and makes room for new life.  Prenatal massage is performed in a side lying position where the client is propped with pillows so that you are in total comfort. Benefits include: eased back pain, reduced pelvic pain, stress level reduction, decreased swelling of the feet and ankles, and improved sleep and digestion.

Couples-
A wonderful bonding experience that allows parners, mothers and daughters, sisters or friends to relax side by side each with their own therapist to work on their individual needs with a unique and customized therapeutic protocol.

Reiki - An ancient form of energy medicine that brings the life force energy, known as Chi, Ki, or Prana, into connection with the body's innate healing powers.  "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "rei" meaning universal spirit and "ki meaning life energy. The origins of Reiki are found in the Tibetan Sutra, the ancient records of philosophy and cosmology and has been practiced for more than 2,500 years. Hichau Mikao Usui, a Japanese physician and Buddhist monk, revitalized the practice of Reiki in the 19 th Century.  Reiki is a powerful adjunct to many conventional therapeutic modalities, and helps to restore balance on emotional, mental, and physical levels by enhancing and accelerating the normal healing processes of the mind and body.
